i actually use that same knot to tie things onto the roof of cars, holds nice and tight and the stress isn't on the end that pulls it apart

Ahh the daisy chain :)! Never considered this for an extension cord... But i will now!! Thanks

This is a great way to manage cords until some idiot you work with keeps trying to unwrap from the wrong end and is always complaining about it. Makes one want to take the cord and beat them with it.

This is a great video of how to chain an extension cord, but its not the best way, if you want to see the best way look up "tangle resistant extension cord" and watch that video, the video I speak of "isnt" on youtube so you will have to search this from your home page. This other way is slightly better because the guy doesnt make a knot in the beginning for the starting hole and at the end of the wind up the guy plugs the two ends together which will keep dirt and debree out of the plugs.

@merrittmanc you are not so special, and your comment is even less so, Rat people, thanks for the video.

Thank you for posting this. A friend taught me how to do that a while back and I forgot how it started. Definitely the best way to wrap a power cord. No twists, knots, or kinks. |
