Choctaw baby!! SO funny how this reminds me of much of the old time Gospel acapella music that my Grampaw who was part Choctaw used to listen to from down in the south.

I am glad these elders have someone interested in cataloging and preserving the old chocktaw and Chickasaw songs, My ancestor was Chickasaw Laura Colbert dawes roll # 962 and my fathers father was half choctaw. I heard a song like the one in this posting from my mothers Uncle after he came home from open heart surgery, he was on alot of meds, and says he does not rember singing the song,I will never forget hearing it, I knew he would survive his surgery after I heard that song.
