Spooky, Gala & Ciao. Pretty much sums the best songs from Lush

Lush are outstanding! Have I been living in a shoe all these years, totally unaware as to their wonderful output. While I'm here, what Lush albums are recommended?

Unfortunately "Laura" never made it as a video. I think BTW that Miki signed great songs too, like "For Love", "Take", "Light From A Dead Star", "Cat's Chorus", "Ex" to name a few even though Emma wrote more songs than her.

Smashing track. Both of Lush's singer-guitarists ruled. But if you follow the credits in the album jackets, you notice that Emma's songs (like this one) were the most creative and memorable -- funky time signatures, fresh unexpected chord juxtapositions -- I just think she was responsible for a lot of what made their early 90s music sound so great and distinctive.Did they ever do a video for "Laura" (another killer Emma song off this fine LP)?

Love this song and "Sweetness and Light"RIP 106.5 The BUZZ and 106.5 WVGO two former Richmond radio stations that played hits like this until being taken over by 106.5 The Beat that plays overrated music. Thank God for the iPod! |
